First National Conference Builds the Movement for Precautionary Action
The 1st National Conference on the Precautionary Principle brought together a diverse community of groups and activists in Baltimore, MD the weekend of June 10th. Participants shared a wealth of precautionary policies, effective tactics and tools, and held great strategy sessions to develop plans for building the national movement for precaution. A national News Advisory summarizes the conference, which received rave reviews from participants and was organized by the Center for Health, Environment & Justice and cosponsored by SEHN, ERF and over 50 organizations.
