October 11 - Protestors rally against PVC at Colonie Target store (The Business Review (Albany))

Protestors will hold a demonstrations at the Target store at the Northway Mall in Colonie Wednesday in an effort to pressure the company from selling products they claim are made from chemicals linked to cancer.

The protest by the Citizens Environmental Coalition is part of a national campaign against products made from polyvinyl chloride, or PVC. The group will be handing out flyers to shoppers and seek a meeting with the store manager. Some of the protestors will wear hazardous chemical suits to demonstrate the dangers posed by vinyl.

The national coalition plans to demonstrate outside 20 Target stores in other states.
